Michael Vogt 3b4c759a07 hostname-wordlist: replace "petnames" wordlists
The petnames wordlist added in [1] is Apache-2.0 and this
causes problems with the distribution of systemd as the
GPL-2 and Apache-2.0 are considered incompatible by the FSF.

So this commit replaces the previous wordlist with
a new one:
- weather (basic english weather adjectives)
- colors (basic english color names)
- worlds (planets, moons, minor bodies of the solar system)

All common vocabulary and compiled for this project, not taken
from anywhere.

An example with the new list:
- wintry-rust-dione-9393
- warm-yellow-saturn-39f9

The "worlds" are picked on the following principles:
- well-known
- memorable
- short(ish)
- cool

This is why e.g. we have "thetis" (an astroid) instead of
"tethys" (a moon): easier to spell and more well known.

Daan De Meyer 74d392ed1b tree-wide: standardize header names across src/fundamental, src/basic and src/shared
Drop the -fundamental suffix from src/fundamental/ headers in favor of names
that match their src/basic/ or src/shared/ counterparts (e.g.
macro-fundamental.h -> macro.h, assert-fundamental.h -> assert-util.h,
cleanup-fundamental.h -> cleanup-util.h). Rename src/basic/{btrfs,label}.{c,h}
to use the -util suffix to match the existing shared/btrfs-util and
shared/label-util siblings. Rename src/shared/mkdir-label.{c,h} to mkdir.{c,h}
and src/shared/tmpfile-util-label.{c,h} to tmpfile-util.{c,h} to match the
corresponding src/basic names.

This saves us from having to come up with separate names for files that do
the same thing across tiers, and it makes it easier to move stuff between
src/fundamental, src/basic and src/shared: consumers just #include "foo.h"
and pick up whichever tier their -I path resolves to first, so call sites
don't need to be updated when an API moves between layers.

Where a higher-tier wrapper exists (e.g. src/basic/macro.h wrapping
src/fundamental/macro.h), the wrapper uses an explicit "../fundamental/foo.h"
or "../basic/foo.h" relative include for the lower-tier header. We can't use
GCC's #include_next directive for this — when the wrapper is reachable both
via same-dir-as-source lookup and via -I (e.g. -Isrc/shared) for the
directory it lives in, #include_next advances by exactly one slot in libcpp's
internal directory chain and lands on the same physical directory it was
already in, never reaching the lower-tier sibling (see make_cpp_dir() in
gcc/libcpp/files.cc:1986).

To make sure the right headers are always picked up, the include directories
are reordered so that e.g. src/shared always takes priority over src/basic and
similar for the other directories.

Christian Brauner 919b8c7c92 sd-dlopen: relicense header to MIT-0
Relicense sd-dlopen.h from LGPL-2.1-or-later to MIT-0 so that
downstream projects can copy/paste the macros directly without
introducing a build dependency on the systemd headers.

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek bd7236912f LICENSES/README: expand text to summarize state for binaries and libs
We would say how *sources* are licensed, but actually most user care about the
resulting binaries. So say how the *binaries* are licensed. I used the word
"effectively" because the permissive licenses don't set any requirements on the
binaries, so the license of sources is a complex mix, but the resulting
binaries have a simple effective license.

Also, make it clear that the GPLv2 license applies to udev programs, but not
the shared library. Based on private correspondence, there's some confusion
about this.

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 3fe96b6c32 network: change license of examples to MIT-0
Arguably, CC0 is just fine for examples since they are not code. But it's
easier to be consistent and just use MIT-0 for all "documentation". Thus,
the license is changed similarly code examples under man/.

Based on 'git shortlog -ns network/*' and 'git log -p', the following folks
should ack this:

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 58b415ae61 systemd-sysv-install: change license to MIT-0
See parent commit for explanation.

git blame shows Martin Pitt is the author of the code.

(I was considering whether we should instead drop this file, but it's still
useful for *distributions*. Eveen if we discourage people from using sysv
scripts, distributions will have to deal with them for a while yet.)

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 1fe6d37ea5 man: change license of examples to MIT-0
Quoting Richard Fontana in [1]:

CC0 has been listed by Fedora as a 'good' license for code and content
(corresponding to allowed and allowed-content under the new system). We plan
to classify CC0 as allowed-content only, so that CC0 would no longer be
  allowed for code.

Over a long period of time a consensus has been building in FOSS that
licenses that preclude any form of patent licensing or patent forbearance
cannot be considered FOSS. CC0 has a clause that says: "No trademark or
patent rights held by Affirmer are waived, abandoned, surrendered, licensed
or otherwise affected by this document." (The trademark side of that clause
is nonproblematic from a FOSS licensing norms standpoint.) The regular
Creative Commons licenses have similar clauses.

For the case of our documentation snippets, patent issues do not matter much.
But it is always nicer to have a license that is considerred acceptable without
any further considerations. So let's change the license to the (now recommended
replacement) MIT-0.

Using 'git blame -b' and 'git log -p --follow', I identified the following
folks as having made non-trivial changes to those snippets:

  Lennart Poettering
  Tom Gundersen
  Luca Bocassi
  Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek
  Thomas Mühlbacher
  Daan De Meyer

Luca Boccassi ec4afb4606 libsystemd/sd-id128: use only internal hmac, remove khash/OpenSSL support
Using OpenSSL brings in an additional dependency for all users of
libsystemd.so even though it's just one API that makes use of it.

The khash implementation is awkward as it requires context switches and
computation inside the kernel, thus leaving the process.

Remove both from libsystemd.so, and use exclusively the internal hmac fallback.
While this is not optimized, the sd-id128 API is not used in
performance-critical contexts where hardware acceleration would make a
noticeable difference.
