Currently only a single job for a single unit can be enqueued atomically,
so there is no guarantee that, e.g., starting a unit and its socket
at the same time will happen in the same transaction. That forces
callers to 'know' the right order in which to start new units being
installed, or failures will occur. It also means some ordering
constraints are ignored, in case the separate calls are done
in the wrong manual order.
Add a new EnqueueUnitJobMany() D-Bus method that takes a list of units
to start.

Preparation for later commits, but I think this one makes
a ton of sense on its own. When debug logging is enabled
it's otherwise difficult to dig up the portion of journal
for transaction construction.
Currently there are various circular dependencies between headers
in core/. Let's get rid of these by making judicious use of forward
declarations and moving includes into implementation files instead of
having them in header files.
Getting rid of circular header includes simplifies the code and makes
various clang based tooling such as iwyu work much better on our code.
The most important change is getting rid of the manager.h include in
unit.h which is possible thanks to the previous commits. We also move
the OOMPolicy and StatusType enums to unit.h to remove the need for
other unit headers to include manager.h to get access to these enums.
Follow-up for 017a7ba4f4
Before this commit, when a unit that is restarting propagates stop
to other units, it can also depend on them, which results in
job type conflict and thus failure to pull in the dependencies.
So, let's introduce a new dependency atom UNIT_ATOM_PROPAGATE_STOP_GRACEFUL,
and use it for PropagatesStopTo=. It will enqueue a restart job if
there's already a start job, which meets the ultimate goal and avoids
job type conflict.
Fixes#26839
This new job mode will enqueue a start job for a unit, and all units
depending on the unit will get a restart job enqueued. This is then used
for automatic sevice restarts: the unit itself is only started, the
depending units restarted. This way the unit will not go down
unnecessarily, triggering OnSuccess= needlessly.
This also introduces a new state SERVICE_AUTO_RESTART_QUEUED that is
entered once the restart jobs are enqueued. Previously we'd stay in
SERVICE_AUTO_RESTART, but that's problematic, since we'd lose
information whether we still need to enqueue the restart job during a
serialization/deserialization cycle or not. By having an explicit state
for this we know exactly whether we still need to enqueue the job or
not. It's also good since when we are in SERVICE_AUTO_RESTART_QUEUED we
want to act on unit_start(), but on SERVICE_AUTO_RESTART we want to wait
for the holdoff time to pass before we act on unit_start().

These lines are generally out-of-date, incomplete and unnecessary. With
SPDX and git repository much more accurate and fine grained information
about licensing and authorship is available, hence let's drop the
per-file copyright notice. Of course, removing copyright lines of others
is problematic, hence this commit only removes my own lines and leaves
all others untouched. It might be nicer if sooner or later those could
go away too, making git the only and accurate source of authorship
information.
This part of the copyright blurb stems from the GPL use recommendations:
https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.en.html
The concept appears to originate in times where version control was per
file, instead of per tree, and was a way to glue the files together.
Ultimately, we nowadays don't live in that world anymore, and this
information is entirely useless anyway, as people are very welcome to
copy these files into any projects they like, and they shouldn't have to
change bits that are part of our copyright header for that.
hence, let's just get rid of this old cruft, and shorten our codebase a
bit.
Files which are installed as-is (any .service and other unit files, .conf
files, .policy files, etc), are left as is. My assumption is that SPDX
identifiers are not yet that well known, so it's better to retain the
extended header to avoid any doubt.
I also kept any copyright lines. We can probably remove them, but it'd nice to
obtain explicit acks from all involved authors before doing that.
Now that we don't have RequiresOverridable= and RequisiteOverridable=
dependencies anymore, we can get rid of tracking the "override" boolean
for jobs in the job engine, as it serves no purpose anymore.
While we are at it, fix some error messages we print when invoking
functions that take the override parameter.
This patch converts PID 1 to libsystemd-bus and thus drops the
dependency on libdbus. The only remaining code using libdbus is a test
case that validates our bus marshalling against libdbus' marshalling,
and this dependency can be turned off.
This patch also adds a couple of things to libsystem-bus, that are
necessary to make the port work:
- Synthesizing of "Disconnected" messages when bus connections are
severed.
- Support for attaching multiple vtables for the same interface on the
same path.
This patch also fixes the SetDefaultTarget() and GetDefaultTarget() bus
calls which used an inappropriate signature.
As a side effect we will now generate PropertiesChanged messages which
carry property contents, rather than just invalidation information.
Add a new job mode: replace-irreversibly. Jobs enqueued using this mode
cannot be implicitly canceled by later enqueued conflicting jobs.
They can however still be canceled with an explicit "systemctl cancel"
call.
