Lennart Poettering 4c2ee5c7f2 homework: allow specifying explicit additional mount options when using CIFS backend
This is useful since certain shares can only be mounted with additional
mount flags. For example the SMB share in modern AVM Fritz!Boxes
requires "noserverino" to be set to work from Linux.

Lennart Poettering 2700fecdb3 homed: allow overriding the root directory for home dirs via env var (i.e. use a different path than /home/)
This is a debugging feature. It's sometimes incredibly useful to be able
to run a second instance of homed that operates on another dir than
/home/.

Specifically, if you build homed from the source tree you can now run an
instance of it pretty reasonably directly from the build tree via:

  sudo SYSTEMD_HOME_DEBUG_SUFFIX=foo SYSTEMD_HOMEWORK_PATH=$(pwd)/build/systemd-homework SYSTEMD_HOME_ROOT=/home/foo ./build/systemd-homed

And then talk to it via

  sudo SYSTEMD_HOME_DEBUG_SUFFIX=foo homectl …

(you might need to tweak your dbus policy for this to work fully though)

Lennart Poettering bfc0cc1a25 userdb: make most loading of JSON user record data "permissive"
We want user records to be extensible, hence we shouldn't complain about
fields we can't parse. In particular we want them to be extensible for
our own future extensions.

Some code already turned the permissive flag when parsing the JSON data,
but most did not. Fix that. A few select cases remain where the bit is
not set: where we just gnerated the JSON data ourselves, and thus can be
reasonably sure that if we can't parse it it's our immediate programming
error and not just us processing a user record from some other tool or a
newer version of ourselves.

Lennart Poettering 17e7561a97 homectl: store FIDO2 up/uv/clientPin fields in user records too
This catches up homed's FIDO2 support with cryptsetup's: we'll now store
the uv/up/clientPin configuration at enrollment in the user record JSON
data, and use it when authenticating with it.

This also adds explicit "uv" support: we'll only allow it to happen when
the client explicity said it's OK. This is then used by clients to print
a nice message suggesting "uv" has to take place before retrying
allowing it this time. This is modelled after the existing handling for
"up".

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek aa25270cb2 sysusers: look at login.defs when setting the default range to allocate users
Also, even if login.defs are not present, don't start allocating at 1, but at
SYSTEM_UID_MIN.

Fixes #9769.

The test is adjusted. Actually, it was busted before, because sysusers would
never use SYSTEM_GID_MIN, so if SYSTEM_GID_MIN was different than
SYSTEM_UID_MIN, the tests would fail. On all "normal" systems the two are
equal, so we didn't notice. Since sysusers now always uses the minimum of the
two, we only need to substitute one value.

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek fc1a5d1a70 Also parse the minimum uid/gid values
We don't (and shouldn't I think) look at them when determining the type of the
user, but they should be used during user/group allocation. (For example, an
admin may specify SYS_UID_MIN==200 to allow statically numbered users that are
shared with other systems in the range 1–199.)

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 53393c894d Look at /etc/login.defs for the system_max_[ug]id values
It makes little sense to make the boundary between systemd and user guids
configurable. Nevertheless, a completely fixed compile-time define is not
enough in two scenarios:
- the systemd_uid_max boundary has moved over time. The default used to be
500 for a long time. Systems which are upgraded over time might have users
in the wrong range, but changing existing systems is complicated and
expensive (offline disks, backups, remote systems, read-only media, etc.)
- systems are used in a heterogenous enviornment, where some vendors pick
  one value and others another.
So let's make this boundary overridable using /etc/login.defs.

Lennart Poettering caf6bd166f homed: default to "btrfs" as fs type in the LUKS backend
Apparently both Fedora and suse default to btrfs now, it should hence be
good enough for us too.

This enables a bunch of really nice things for us, most importanly we
can resize home directories freely (i.e. both grow *and* shrink) while
online. It also allows us to add nice subvolume based home directory
snapshotting later on.

Also, whenever we mention the three supported types, alaways mention
them in alphabetical order, which is also our new order of preference.

Lennart Poettering 0bb4308014 userdb: add "description" field to group records
User records have the realname/gecos fields, groups never had that, but
it would really be useful to have it, hence let's add it with similar
semantics.

We enforce the same syntax as for GECOS, since it's better to start with
strict rules and losen them later instead of the opposite.

Lennart Poettering 5e86c82acd user-record: add new field for requesting LUKS discard on logout
We make this entirely independent of the regular discard field, i.e. the
one that controls discard behaviour when the home directory is online.
Not all combinations make a ridiculous amount of sense, but most do.
Specifically:

online-discard = yes, offline-discard = yes
→ Discard when activating explicitly, and during runtime using
the "discard" mount option, and discard explicitly when logging
       out again.

online-discard = no, offline-discard = yes
→ The new default: when logging in allocate the full backing
store, and use no discard while active. When loging out discard
everything. This provides nice behaviour: we take minimal storage
when offline but provide allocation guarantees while online.

online-discard = no, offline-discard = no
→ Never, ever discard, always operate with fully allocated
backing store. The extra safe mode.

Lennart Poettering 7a8867abfa user-util: rework how we validate user names
This reworks the user validation infrastructure. There are now two
modes. In regular mode we are strict and test against a strict set of
valid chars. And in "relaxed" mode we just filter out some really
obvious, dangerous stuff. i.e. strict is whitelisting what is OK, but
"relaxed" is blacklisting what is really not OK.

The idea is that we use strict mode whenver we allocate a new user
(i.e. in sysusers.d or homed), while "relaxed" mode is when we process
users registered elsewhere, (i.e. userdb, logind, …)

The requirements on user name validity vary wildly. SSSD thinks its fine
to embedd "@" for example, while the suggested NAME_REGEX field on
Debian does not even allow uppercase chars…

This effectively liberaralizes a lot what we expect from usernames.

The code that warns about questionnable user names is now optional and
only used at places such as unit file parsing, so that it doesn't show
up on every userdb query, but only when processing configuration files
that know better.
