Yu Watanabe 84990e08e5 test-firewall-util: allow to run test-firewall-util
Now fw_nftables_add_masquerade() should return EOPNOTSUPP or so if
unprivileged. It is not necessary to skip whole tests earlier.

Yu Watanabe 7184f8366f firewall-util: drop FirewallContext
After iptables support is dropped, FirewallContext is a trivial
wrapper of sd_netlink. Let's drop it and directly use sd_netlink.

Daan De Meyer fa34123c35 test: Clean up includes
To make sure everything still compiles, we add a preliminary include
of forward.h to tests.h to make sure it is included in every test source
file. We'll clean up the tests.h includes in a later commit.

We also add a <errno.h> include to errno-list.h to keep test-errno-list.c
compiling. It'll be removed again when we clean up includes in src/basic.

Split out of #37344.

Jason A. Donenfeld 87cb1ab676 Simplify random number selection
We currently have a convoluted and complex selection of which random
numbers to use. We can simplify this down to two functions that cover
all of our use cases:

1) Randomness for crypto: this one needs to wait until the RNG is
   initialized. So it uses getrandom(0). If that's not available, it
   polls on /dev/random, and then reads from /dev/urandom. This function
   returns whether or not it was successful, as before.

2) Randomness for other things: this one uses getrandom(GRND_INSECURE).
   If it's not available it uses getrandom(GRND_NONBLOCK). And if that
   would block, then it falls back to /dev/urandom. And if /dev/urandom
   isn't available, it uses the fallback code. It never fails and
   doesn't return a value.

These two cases match all the uses of randomness inside of systemd.

I would prefer to make both of these return void, and get rid of the
fallback code, and simply assert in the incredibly unlikely case that
/dev/urandom doesn't exist. But Luca disagrees, so this commit attempts
to instead keep case (1) returning a return value, which all the callers
already check, and fix the fallback code in (2) to be less bad than
before.

For the less bad fallback code for (2), we now use auxval and some
timestamps, together with various counters representing the invocation,
hash it all together and provide the output. Provided that AT_RANDOM is
secure, this construction is probably okay too, though notably it
doesn't have any forward secrecy. Fortunately, it's only used by
random_bytes() and not by crypto_random_bytes().

Florian Westphal 79dd224093 add ipv6 range element creation test cases
The nft set backend doesn't support network masks, it works with
ranges. Inputs like dead::/64 thus need to be translated to two
'start' and 'end' elements.

The 'start' element is the first element in the range (i.e., dead::).
The 'stop' element is the first element *past* the range, (dead:0:0100::
in the example).

This adds a few test cases.

Florian Westphal 0e544221c9 firewall-util: add ipv6 support to nftables backend
closely mirrors the existing ipv4 ruleset:
table ip6 io.systemd.nat {
        set masq_saddr {
                type ipv6_addr
                flags interval
        }

        map map_port_ipport {
                type inet_proto . inet_service : ipv6_addr . inet_service
        }

        chain prerouting {
                type nat hook prerouting priority dstnat + 1; policy accept;
                fib daddr type local dnat ip6 addr . port to meta l4proto . th dport map @map_port_ipport
        }

        chain output {
                type nat hook output priority -99; policy accept;
                ip6 daddr != ::1 oif "lo" dnat ip6 addr . port to meta l4proto . th dport map @map_port_ipport
        }

        chain postrouting {
                type nat hook postrouting priority srcnat + 1; policy accept;
                ip6 saddr @masq_saddr masquerade
        }
}

Only difference is the use of ipv6 addresses instead of ipv4 ones.

Currently has no effect: all in-tree callers pass AF_INET exclusively.
Followup patches will make nspawn expose ipv6 too and rework
IPMasquerade option to support both/v4/v6.

Florian Westphal 761cf19d7b firewall-util: introduce context structure
for planned nft backend we have three choices:

- open/close a new nfnetlink socket for every operation
- keep a nfnetlink socket open internally
- expose a opaque fw_ctx and stash all internal data here.

Originally I opted for the 2nd option, but during review it was
suggested to avoid static storage duration because of perceived
problems with threaded applications.

This adds fw_ctx and new/free functions, then converts the existing api
and nspawn and networkd to use it.

Florian Westphal 47ed20e1e0 firewall-util: reject NULL source or address with prefixlen 0
Make sure we don't add masquerading rules without a explicitly
specified network range we should be masquerading for.

The only caller aside from test case is
networkd-address.c which never passes a NULL source.

As it also passes the network prefix, that should always be > 0 as well.

This causes expected test failure:
Failed to modify firewall: Invalid argument
Failed to modify firewall: Invalid argument
Failed to modify firewall: Invalid argument
Failed to modify firewall: Protocol not available
Failed to modify firewall: Protocol not available
Failed to modify firewall: Protocol not available
Failed to modify firewall: Protocol not available

The failing test cases are amended to expect failure on
NULL source or prefix instead of success.

Florian Westphal 7509c7fdf9 fw_add_masquerade: remove unused function arguments
Similar to the previous commit. All callers pass NULL. This will
ease initial nftables backend implementation (less features to cover).

Add the function parameters as local variables and let compiler
remove branches. Followup patch can remove the if (NULL) conditionals.

Florian Westphal 67b3732a53 fw_add_local_dnat: remove unused function arguments
All users pass a NULL/0 for those, things haven't changed since 2015
when this was added originally, so remove the arguments.

THe paramters are re-added as local function variables, initalised
to NULL or 0. A followup patch can then manually remove all
if (NULL) rather than leaving dead-branch optimization to compiler.

Reason for not doing it here is to ease patch review.

Not requiring support for this will ease initial nftables backend
implementation.
In case a use-case comues up later this feature can be re-added.

Lennart Poettering 0c69794138 tree-wide: remove Lennart's copyright lines
These lines are generally out-of-date, incomplete and unnecessary. With
SPDX and git repository much more accurate and fine grained information
about licensing and authorship is available, hence let's drop the
per-file copyright notice. Of course, removing copyright lines of others
is problematic, hence this commit only removes my own lines and leaves
all others untouched. It might be nicer if sooner or later those could
go away too, making git the only and accurate source of authorship
information.

Lennart Poettering 818bf54632 tree-wide: drop 'This file is part of systemd' blurb
This part of the copyright blurb stems from the GPL use recommendations:

https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.en.html

The concept appears to originate in times where version control was per
file, instead of per tree, and was a way to glue the files together.
Ultimately, we nowadays don't live in that world anymore, and this
information is entirely useless anyway, as people are very welcome to
copy these files into any projects they like, and they shouldn't have to
change bits that are part of our copyright header for that.

hence, let's just get rid of this old cruft, and shorten our codebase a
bit.

Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 11a1589223 tree-wide: drop license boilerplate
Files which are installed as-is (any .service and other unit files, .conf
files, .policy files, etc), are left as is. My assumption is that SPDX
identifiers are not yet that well known, so it's better to retain the
extended header to avoid any doubt.

I also kept any copyright lines. We can probably remove them, but it'd nice to
obtain explicit acks from all involved authors before doing that.
