Only service and scope units have RuntimeMaxUSec bus property.
To suppress the "Until:" field for other unit types, the entry must be
initialized with USEC_INFINITY.
Fixes#26473.
The priority of device node symlink can be negative. So the
initialization is confusing.
Fortunately, this changes no functionality, as we only compare the
priorities of symlinks only when we parsed at least one device node and
its priority.
Otherwise, if /dev/shm has a directory that cannot be accessible by
unprivileged user, then we cannot pick a dynamic user, and test service
may fail with unexpected error code:
---
Failed to enter shared memory directory /dev/shm/systemd-watch-bind-BqAGlN: Permission denied
exec-dynamicuser-supplementarygroups.service: Failed to update dynamic user credentials: Device or resource busy
exec-dynamicuser-supplementarygroups.service: Failed at step USER spawning /bin/sh: Device or resource busy
src/test/test-execute.c:885:test_exec_dynamicuser: exec-dynamicuser-supplementarygroups.service: can_unshare=no: exit status 217, expected 216

Follow-up for 4e032f654b.
Before this, tests are split into two categories, system and user, but
both are running in fully privileged environment. Hence, unprivileged
user scope was mostly not covered by the test.
Let's run all tests in both system and user scopes, and drop capabilities
when Manager is running in user scope.
This also makes the host environment protected more from the test run.
This effectively reverts commit ff86c92e30,
and re-apply 49f3ee7e74.
The change was dropped due to the process name was not correctly logged,
but the issue was fixed by dd15e4cb57.
Let's set the child process name again.
Our logging uses program_invocation_short_name. Without this patch,
logs from forked client may become broken; spuriously truncated or
the short invocation name is not completely shown in the log.
Follow-up for 64f3419ec1.
If the input timestamp is too old (say, 1min since 1970-01-01), then
parse_timestamp() may fail on a timezone with positive shift e.g.
JST (UTC+9). Moreover, even if parse_timestamp() succeeds, its result
'y' and 'usec_sub_unsigned(x, 2 * USEC_PER_DAY)' are both zero, and
the assertion will be triggered.
Fixes#26172.
Before this commit, if virtual console keymap is unchanged, localed just
returns without modifying anything. However, the X11 part may need updating.
So we should check for both and ensure they are unmodified.
Replaces #26190.
This also makes x11_convert_to_vconsole() changed in the same way.
Then, their callers update Context if necessary.
No functional change, just preparation for later commits.
Also, rename get_battery_identifier() to siphash24_compress_device_sysattr().
This also makes any errors in sd_id128_get_machine() or id128_get_product()
ignored. For the machine ID, the failure should not be significant unless
the file stored in the discharge level is reused by another system, which
is quite unusual. For the product ID, if the firmware provides useless
ID (all zero or all 0xFF), then loading/storing the discharge rate
becomes completely broken, that should be avoided.
Note, now sysattrs are used instead of properties in uevent files, but
both provide the same information, hence no functionality should be
changed.
Before v252, HibernateDelaySec= specifies the maximum timespan that the
system in suspend state, and the system hibernate after the timespan.
However, after 96d662fa4c, the setting is
repurposed as the default interval to measure battery charge level and
estimate the battery discharging late. And if the system has enough
battery capacity, then the system will stay in suspend state and not
hibernate even if the time passed. See issue #25269.
To keep the backward compatibility, let's introduce another setting
SuspendEstimationSec= for controlling the interval to measure
battery charge level, and make HibernateDelaySec= work as of v251.
This also drops implementation details from the man page.
Fixes#25269.
Follow-ups for 8702496bfb.
- add missing error cause in logging,
- add several missing assertions,
- drop an unnecessary initialization,
- make boot_config_find_in() return negative errno if nothing found,
- and several coding style fixlets.
Follow-ups for #26124 and #26158.
- use os_release_pretty_name(),
- constify the buffer passed to inspect_osrel(),
- propagate errors in inspect_osrele(), and ignore them in the caller
side,
- and several coding style fixlets.

Similary, this also renames context_free_x11() -> context_clear_x11(),
to make it clear that these functions do not free Context.
Also, this makes context_clear() support to be called more than once.
- add missing assertions,
- rename arguments for storing results,
- always initialize results on success,
- use _cleanup_ attribute at more places, etc.
