dns_packet_append_name() appends a name's labels and then the root byte that terminates it. A failure on that last byte returned directly, leaving both the labels on the packet and the compression entries this call had added -- entries naming offsets the caller then truncates away. Take the same rollback path as every other failure in the function. Independent of the map invariant fixed before it: this is reachable whether or not any offset exceeded the pointer range.
